Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose and Indian National Army World War 2 Monument restored in Singapore

Dear Sir Dr.Vinod Roshan D'souza,

Thank you for taking time to reach out to us.

While the original monument was removed by British forces soon after their return after World War II, a historic site marker was erected in 1995 on the site of the former monument, to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the end of World War II, and to highlight the historic importance and events that took place on the site.

The site marker mentions the leadership of Subhash Chandra Bose, as well as a sketch of the original monument which sat on the site.

I’ve attached here the latest photo of the site marker, which was taken during a recent maintenance this month.

We hope this helps, and thank you again for writing to us.

Regards,

Shuhui
